The Foundation

In 1974 the Anna Villa Rusconi Foundation was established in Varese, founded by Cav. Rusconi and children.

During the years, the Anna Villa Rusconi Foundation has provided scholarships and supported various biomedical interventions in science, to which, child protection initiatives have been put beside, along with ongoing participations in projects of charity and solidarity at national and international level. During its history, the Foundation could count on an influential scientific committee, including, among others, Christian Barnard, Renato Dulbecco, Luigi L. Cavalli-Sforza, Roger Williams, Adriano Buzzati Traverso.

On December 9th, 1997, on the death of Felice Rusconi, his son Noè assumes the chairmanship and since 2001 the Foundation has acquired its present name, adding to the memory of Anna Villa's work the name of the founder: Felice Rusconi.

Today, the Board of Directors of the Foundation is entirely composed of members of the Rusconi family, represented by Noè and Lisi, founder’s sons, along with grandchildren, Tomaso, Massimiliano, Lorenzo and Anna.
